Take a stand by participating in Earth Hour!
On March 27, 2010 at 8:30 pm, hundreds of millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for an hour to demand action on climate change.
We can all do something to go green and help make a difference. Here are some eco-friendly ways to help your family go green:
- remind your children to turn off the lights
- turn off the water when brushing
- take your children to the park, read favorite books, play family board games
- shop with reusable bags
- wash clothes in cold water
- clean the house with re-usable cloths instead of paper towels
- for lunches and snacks use reusable containers
- donate used clothing, books, toys and other items around the house to local shelters
- eat local foods
