Remembrance Day (November 11, 2010) is a statutory holiday in all provinces and territories except Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.
Find out who is entitled to statutory holiday and holiday payment.

A domestic worker who has been employed for 30 consecutive days is entitled to statutory holidays. A domestic worker who has worked 15 of the 30 days before the statutory holiday is entitled to full pay, but those who work less are entitled to partial pay.
When a statutory holiday fall on a regular working day and the domestic worker is given that day off, the worker is entitled to be paid wages as if that day had been worked. If the domestic worker is required to work on a statutory holiday, the employer must pay time-and-a-half (1 ½ times for the first 11 hours worked, and double (2 times) for all additional hours, plus provide the domestic worker with a working day off with pay at regular wages.
If the statutory holiday falls on a non-working day, the domestic worker is to receive a working day off with pay. That working day off with pay must be taken no later than the next vacation. If not taken before the employment relationship ends, it must be paid.
