I am willing to cook for the children and tidy their rooms,the kitchen and do thier laundry.Keep the house and our playing areas tidy each day.I don`t want to be a house cleaner as I`ve had many jobs where the focus on the cleaning while they expect you to look after 2-3 kids,cook,vacuum and wash floors almost daily,all the bathrooms,the appliances weekly,drive to lessons all for minimum wage and all for 10-12 days a week.It`s not the job of the nanny to do everything as I feel a 2 income family can hire a house cleaner once a week for a small fee.
I would also only like to live in if the suite is self contianed(bedroom,bathroom,small kit/liv area) and the hours are set.I think it`s good for the family as well as the nanny to have privancy and time off.If they want extra on evenings and weekends we need to have the schedule a week in advance.Overtime is no problem as long as it`s resonable and the pay is fair.If you have any families that fit this I would luv to go for an interview as early as next week.Thank you for your time. my father currently operates a Ontario Homes for Special Care/Needs in beautiful Collingwood, Ontario. he is turning 65 this year and has been running this home as the resident owner for over 35 years. We are looking for a new way to provide care for our special residents now that it is time for my father to step back a little.
the home looks after roughly 30 people ages ranging from early 20′s to the elderly. The main idea is that we provide a place to call home, clean bed to sleep in and clean clothing, 3 meals per day and medications at specific times for our residents, who have had problematic living situations in the past or may have mild to moderate mental disorders.
In the past we have not had any luck with the reliability of hired part -time workers in our area, and so are looking for a new solution.
Optimally we would like to hire a team of 2-3 full time workers on a salary position who would manage the day to day needs of our residents. the following is a list of some of the responsibilities of the team:
preparation of 3 meals/day
cleaning of home on a regular schedule
laundry of each resident
small maintanence around home when needed, or management of other staff/hired help to perform maintanence,
personal hygene for each resident (those who are not capable)
scheduling of doctors/dentist/other health care visits
The OHSC home runs on a 24/7 basis as it is a home and therefore there is a need for staff to be on site at all times. however it is not an intense institutional setting, and there is not the requirement of a nurse or 24-hour monitor… there is no need for night shifts. The home is a large bright beautiful home in Collingwood, (blue mountain/intrawest resort) with ski hills and Georgian Bay as major outdoor destinations for tourists.
the team would live in my father’s personal home attaached to the care home, as well as in a second home next door to the home, both homes are immaculate and close to downtown Collingwood.
We would provide a vehicle for the Team to share, as well as subsidized room and Board including 3 meals per day.
Working times are extremely flexible as the team would manage their own scheduling. Each person would work 4 to 5 days per week, and have 2 to 3 days per week off.
