If I was given a notice of termination by my employer after more than 3 months of employment, am I entitled to compensation for this dismissal?
ANSWER:
A nanny who was relieved of her duties given a written notice for one week prior to the release date (last day of employment), must continue to perform her duties as usual until the final date.
In the event that the employer wants the nanny to leave immediately, the employer must pay the worker her salary for the full week of the notice as if the work was performed normally.
However, if the foreign worker decides to leave her employer on her own accord and immediately, she is not entitled of a payment for duties not performed.
